Treatment Details

Key Difference 1: Freckle Laser – Expect visible improvement even with a single treatment.
At our clinic, we perform freckle laser treatments using wavelengths carefully selected to target the specific characteristics of the lesion, designed to selectively act on melanin pigment.
Immediately after the procedure, the pigment may temporarily swell or form tiny scabs. Through this process, you can expect the freckles to lighten even with a single treatment.
The scabs that form are very small, and as a result, freckles may appear temporarily darker for about 2-3 weeks. However, after this period, you will notice your freckles lightening even with a single treatment.
Rather than unconditionally recommending multiple treatments, our clinic aims to achieve satisfactory results by focusing on the effectiveness of even a single session.
Key Difference 2: Our Commitment to Precise and Meticulous Care
Our clinic prioritizes the quality of each procedure, strictly regulating the number of patients seen by one doctor per day.
This is our clinic's policy to dedicate sufficient time and focus to each individual patient. By limiting the number of appointments, we can provide more thorough consultations.
In this way, we can provide ample explanations throughout the entire process of consultation, treatment, and aftercare, and formulate a suitable plan for each individual patient. This allows us the time to meticulously observe skin conditions and responses, incorporating them into the treatment.
This enhances the precision of our procedures and can positively influence patient satisfaction. We strive to provide 'meticulous medical services,' rather than simply repetitive consultations.
Our clinic values treatment results more than the length of consultation time, genuinely focusing on the skin condition of each individual patient.
Key Difference 3: Customized Treatment Settings for Individual Skin Types
We meticulously assess your skin tone, the size and depth of the lesion, and your skin's reactivity to adjust laser settings such as spot size, pulse energy, and fluence.
For example, on areas with light skin tone and shallow pigmentation, we use a small spot size and high energy for precise irradiation. Conversely, for skin prone to hyperpigmentation, we delicately adjust the output to ensure a stable and safe procedure.
Such finely tuned laser settings are crucial factors that enhance the precision of treatment results and positively influence patient satisfaction, even when using the same equipment.
This is a key factor.
Key Difference 4: Post-Treatment Recovery Plan
The 532nm laser has high reactivity, which may result in scabs or temporary redness after treatment. Therefore, skin regeneration care and thorough UV protection are essential.
During 532nm laser treatment, individual pain sensitivity may vary, so the application of anesthetic cream is carefully decided after a pre-consultation. After the procedure, cooling and a Jaungo modeling pack are used to help soothe the skin.
Additionally, our clinic provides Duoderm dressings to support the recovery of the treated area and protect it from UV radiation.
Key Difference 5: Treatment Plan Considering Overall Pigmented Lesions, Not Just Freckles
Many individuals who visit for freckle removal often have other dermal pigmented lesions, such as melasma, in addition to freckles.
While treatments targeting only freckles are available, we understand that many individuals wish to improve overall uneven pigmentation as well.
Therefore, through thorough consultation utilizing precise diagnostic equipment, we accurately identify the types of pigmentation distributed across the face. Based on this, we carefully determine the treatment direction, whether to intensively treat only epidermal pigmentation or to improve overall pigmented lesions simultaneously.
Through this, we aim to help patients achieve a brighter and clearer skin tone.
Why Do Freckles Appear?
Freckles are epidermal pigmented lesions that result from a complex interaction of genetic predisposition and sun exposure.
They typically appear during childhood and are commonly observed in individuals with fair skin.
They primarily occur on areas prone to sun exposure, such as the nose and cheekbones, and may appear darker or lighter depending on the season.
Location of Freckles
Due to the structural and optical characteristics of the skin, freckles respond well to lasers of specific wavelengths.
In particular, the 532nm wavelength is usefully employed in freckle treatment.
Most freckles are formed by the localized accumulation of melanin granules in the basal layer of the epidermis. Due to this characteristic, the 532nm wavelength is suitable for selectively acting on melanin pigment.
532nm Wavelength
The 532nm wavelength belongs to the green light spectrum, which has a high absorption rate for melanin pigment. It is designed to selectively target pigmented lesions primarily located in the epidermal layer of the skin.
The 532nm laser primarily utilizes a Q-switched method. This method works by instantaneously irradiating high-output energy for a very short duration of several nanoseconds, thereby destroying only the pigment particles.
Short pulse energy is selectively absorbed by melanin pigment and converted into thermal energy. The resulting photomechanical effect (photomechanical effect) serves to finely break down melanin particles.
These fragmented pigment particles partly form tiny scabs that naturally fall off, while the remaining parts undergo a process of being expelled into the lymphatic system via macrophages in the body.
Through this process, as the destroyed pigment is gradually removed, you can expect visible lightening or improvement of freckles.
Freckle Removal at Our Clinic
For freckle improvement, we often use specific laser wavelengths, but
the results of the treatment are not determined by a single wavelength alone.
When an accurate diagnosis is made and a personalized treatment plan is established based on individual skin conditions,
such efforts combine to bring about positive changes.

Q&A
고객님들이 가장 많이 물어보시는 내용을 모았습니다.
What is the recommended interval for laser treatments?
Considering the time for skin recovery and observation of pigment response, we generally recommend treatments at intervals of 3-4 weeks.
How many sessions are typically needed to improve freckles?
For treatments using a 532nm laser, freckle improvement can usually be observed with just 1-2 sessions. However, depending on an individual's skin condition, the density and depth of freckles, and usual sun exposure, an additional 2-3 sessions may be necessary.
